The darker blue border will hopefully come later, I originally based it off Chrome on Vista where it has the tabs surrounded by Aero (drool).. (I tried a darker blue originally, but I couldn't get the color to my likings, So I just kept it light blue for now)
With the new version I matched the color & rounded the borders on the nav-bar (thanks to your Ne+ feather). (The forward buttons should match Chrome's) The tabs are now halfway complete... I'm still trying to figure out how to do the overlap look...
I eventually want to rearrange everything to match chrome to the best of my ability, Like the tabs and Bookmark button on the left...

this feather convinced me to try songbird again - thank you
sorting out the tabs colours would complete the picture, but simple rounded tabs (like in the options menu) would work, too

I'll hopefully be able to figure out the tab overlap thing like Chrome, but did you find the tab colors to be too light? Too dark? Too blue?

@boosh: Great dazzling feather! Only one thing: basic state of scroll buttons aren't clear. At the first look I saw only just squares. Should use lighter background or darker arrow.
I like the hover effect on media buttons too. :P

Ya, definitely.. I like your suggestion! I'll revamp the scroll buttons/bars.. I'm working on another feather right now and messing with the different possibilities of the scroll button/bar hovering effects ;)

@Hiromacu: actually, now that i read your comment a second time... could you refresh your bird? It might not of shown the actual scrollbar-buttons that i have (i ran into this bug while making the other feather... I'm not sure if it's an error on my part or not... I might have messed up an opacity setting somewhere) ... if it still persists.. screenshot? :P

Thanks verso! I actually have 7 minute version of that demo coming too, that showcases all the feathers and a more in depth introduction. (That one I had to cut a bunch out and increase the audio tempo by 15% to get it within 5 minutes, so im kinda robotic sounding there)

Nice feather. To integrate the icon for my add-on, Guitar Tab, in your feather, you need to space it more. I have no idea why it changed, but since the new default feather utilizes a 19x16 (VxH) icon, yours should be spaced accordingly. I adjusted your icon; here is the new one. Hope that link works for you. keep up the great work.

I think you might still be using an older version of Chromibird, make sure you download the 2.0 version (it doesn't have 1.10.0a compatibility so your gonna have to force install it or edit it.)

Easily the best feather for Songbird. Should be the default in my opinion. My only possible gripe is that it's really bright. While I like the blue/white, a darker/greyish version of this would rock.

I agree that this is easily the best feather out there at the moment, especially in my case as I use this heavily for browsing at the office.
However, would it be possible to have a Netbook-Mode for this, similar to the feather simpleBlack? Really just a more minimal version of it that maximizes screen real estate, without changing the color theme.
I hope you'd be able to look into this some time.

How much more screen real estate are you looking for? It already uses a pretty minimal amount. The media control pane height for Chromibird is 37px, while the default Purple Rain is 60px, and SimplyBlack's is 24px. (Which is were most of the space is saved) Are you liking SimplyBlack's smaller display pane splitters? or any other UI? Cause I could help you modify pretty much anything to your likings with just a few lines of code.

Great skin. Purple rain was one of the reasons I was using SB and I now prefer this over it.
There is a small glitch though: a one pixel line appears in full screen video playback. If it's not just me seeing that, a quick fix would be great.

Really good start (all good things spring from boredom ;-). You've done a wonderful job with the hover effect on media buttons. I have a few suggestions, I hope you don't mind:
I miss the darker blue color in the main menu area; the borders of nav-bar buttons should match the ones in the media pane. Also: have you thought about modifying the layout a bit (at least change the look of tabs, or maybe rearrange the forward/back buttons so they would mimic the ones in Chrome browser)?
I hope your boredom continues ...
