Songbird Timer Dark_Wolf
Allows you to start or stop the bird after a set amount of time
A timer for stopping and starting songbird after a specified
amount of time, it’s really very very simple.
The sleep time as well as start/stop can be adjusted in the add-ons
settings. The timer can be started from the tools menu.

Thank you for this extension, it allows me to set the bird to play while I drift off to sleep and then after it stops the computer can go to sleep, otherwise the play went on all night. I see several of the points made by jkoshi as great ideas, however, all should note that Dark Wolf was kind enough to throw this one together for me and for that I am appreciative.

AHHHHHH! A Halloween Nightmare! The add-on isn't working with 0.3rc2. The add-on installs ok, you can set the option, but there is no "start button" under the tools drop down . . it disappeared - captured by the ghost of 0.3rc1. :-()... BOO! Can this be resurrected?
If possible I would like to see added the possibility to specify a time to sart and stop playback. Like "start playback at 8:30 and stop at 5:30 PM" It would automate our jukebox here at work.

please please please update!!! i know mass amounts of comments likely wont help much but my programming skills are so severely lacking that it would be great if you could get this working again.

Rad! I can already see how this could be useful. Is there a way to set this timer to have Songbird play after a specified time? For instance, I'd like to set it for an hour before I step into my hour meeting and have it play a song to remind me the meeting has taken an hour.
Otherwise a couple bits of feedback from the user experience perspective:
- Seconds as the unit of time is not terribly useful. On TVs the typical unit is a half-hour, based on the average TV show play time. Maybe not half hour increments, but minutes would still be an improvement.
- It would be nice if there was some visual feedback when the sleep timer was about to stop playing. On TVs, "SLEEP" in red flashes just before the sleep timer is about to shut off your TV. Perhaps flashing SLEEP in the faceplate just before the timer ends could achieve the same thing.
- I actually wouldn't mind an optional button in the UI in the faceplate or control pane to open the timer options and to start it.
Otherwise, excellent add-on, and already useful! I'm going to use it to chunk out my work by the hour so I know when my hour is up. Thanks, can't wait for the next version.
