cheese !
This is really a great plugin, displays all the information you need straight from the tag. I am having a little bug the addon its not correctly fitting my screen. I cant see the right side of it even if i try to resize it.
I am running ubuntu 7.10 (soon to be 8.04) with songbird 0.5
Hi Pedro, can you send a screenshot? I thought I’d fixed that bug. I’m very close to uploading a new and exciting version, so please hang on just a little bit longer and I’ll see what I can do for you.
REALLY GREAT!!!
No need for the screen shot, the problem is solved. However a minor nuisance has come up. The add on occupies too much space on my laptop screen. I think in general this will be a problem for laptop users. while some minor modifications would improve the layout so much more.
For example, the date created and date updated occupy too much space on the screen, instead of having them next to each other you could gave one below the other. The same recommendation could be applied for the “downloaded from” and “on” fields. These two occupy most of the horizontal space. Also the title can occupy a lot of horizontal space but this does not occur with every song, so it would be cool if you could make the name rotate to be able to read the whole name of the song.
And my last recommendation would be an option to choose whether to display the info of the currently playing song or the current selected song.
It is however working really nicely, thanks so much for a really cool add on.
I agree that it’s too wide right now. I’ll see about tightening it up next release.
I’m working on a top secret project right now which will make this tool much more useful, and that’s all I have to say about it for now.
you tease!
I’m having a problem with the lyrics tag. Lyrics look fine while I’m editing them, but when I save them and check back the linebreaks have all disappeared. (Also, nothing shows up at all when I right-click the song and choose Lyrics.)
Otherwise, the plugin is very handy. Thank you!
Really great add-on … :)
I think that you lose too much place in the provision of the tags
What could be interesting would to have a presentation of the tags in the same way as in DVDpedia
(the green part on this screenshot : http://bruji.com/dvdpedia/images/screenshot3.png )
Sorry for my weak English… I’m french speaking
Hi everyone,
the track editor classic has now been folded into 0.6! I’ll be taking some time to update the sidebar style editor some time soon.
Enjoy!
@mati: I’ll take a look at the lyrics. They worked for me!
@mati: confirmed your bug! i’ll look into it.
I’ve downloaded the add-on and restarted the program and the appearance hasn’t changed. What am I doing wrong? The add-on shows on my list of add ons… but nothing.
ha ha… got it. Sorry, I’m new. I just found this program yesterday. Its really encouraging to see an alternative!
I have it in the bottom pane, and it looks great. Just see for yourself:

Any updates for 0.8 ?
Or for 0.7?
It doesn't work in 0.7 version :(
is there any intention to continue development of this for 0.7?
Aw, geez -- I've been so busy working on the database this release that I've kinda let this addon slide. I'll see if I can't get a new version up which is compatible with 1.0RC1, but supporting both that and 0.7 is pretty unlikely. I'll think about it!
lets trst
I've been working on it. I'm porting it to take advantage of all the great new stuff in 1.0's track editor that wasn't in the old one, like auto completion and drag/drop album art. Should be soon!
Sorry, i cant install this plugin with version 1, but i would love to!
Sadly, this plugin isn't yet (?) compatible with Songbird 1.1.1. I'd really love to use it!
Up she goes!
is this going to be available for the newest version of songbird?
