@Batmensch:
Bumped the maxversion.

A tool for editing an MSC device's save & exclude locations, as well as its capabilities. In other words, provides a UI for modifying a .SBSettings.xml file. See http://wiki.songbirdnest.com/Developer/Articles/Devices/MSC_Device_Capabilities_Specification_File for more detail.
Added option to reset an MSC device. This action in effect removes all Songbird artifacts for the selected device, i.e. "SBSettings.xml" files, sqlite dbs. Useful for troubleshooting sync issues and wiping the slate clean.
My/our dreams come true ! Thanks a lot, can't wait to test it.
We now have to find a nice way to share the resulting settings.xml files. I know that there is a page for unofficial settings.xml files in the Songbird wiki, that is being fed by POTI from posts in GetSatisfaction.
Hi again
I have a question which I haven't found an answer for, in the wiki page: what about a device that has 2 different memory cards, like many mobile phones? You can switch from one card to the other in Songbird and have different libraries, but it is not clear whether this needs a separate SBSetting file on each card, or one on the "main" card, or???? Some settings will be common to both like supported format, other will be different like exclude paths.
Also, with the Devise addon, this situation gives strange results ("undefined" pathes, only one SBsetting file updated, the one on the other card than the one currently displayed... no way to choose between both cards in Devise...
Thanks for your help :)
Also forgot to mention that when loading an existing sbsettings file into the application, the audio capabilities are recognized and uploaded correctly in Devise, but the folder data is ignored and left empty in Devise).
Thanks
@kurt
thanks for the answers! having one file for both volumes make sense as the folder structure on both volumes should be similar.
Did not work for me using 1.8.0b3 on WinXP Pro SP3 with a Samsung Captivate. Songbird recognizes the device, and it will let me transfer songs. However, Devise does not see any device. Am I doing something wrong? ... Thanks!
It's not possible to give a higher bitrate than 320 for FLAC... ???
The Devise (1.0.0.6) add-on crashes my Songbird (1.8.0 build 1800) when I enable it on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. :-(
BTW: Does Devise also make it possible to sync playlists to an Android phone (mine: LG GT540 Android 2.1). It seems Songbird's playlists are of the "M3U" type and Android phones are another type.
Having an issue with enabling Devise. Songbird 1.9.3 says Devise requires additional add-ons. Any guidance?
Looks like that was the issue. Def. feel stupid now! Thanks for the help.
Thank you for this. Works with my Samsung GS2
