Are you running Playdar? That error occurs when the add-on cannot detect the Playdar daemon. Note that Playdar is separate from the add-on. If you aren't running Playdar on your machine, you can get it at http://www.playdar.org.
Playdar is in the early stages of active development, but there are fledgling packages to install on Mac or Windows. On Linux I think you still have to build from source.
If you ARE running the Playdar daemon, then you've found a bug in the add-on. Let me know if this is the case, and we'll figure out how to debug.

Hi there!
I've installed you add-on, but as soon as I try to access it I get the following message:
[JavaScript Application]
Birdplaydar could not connect to the Playdar service. Please visit http://www.playdar.org for more information on installing, running, and troubleshooting Playdar.
I'm on Songbird 1.4.0b3, Build 1303.
Thanks!
