Removing the bookmarks is the right step, the service pane is too cluttered up with items. Bosh's idea seems by far the best option, please consider it.

while we're at reshuffling the bookmark, how could a personal bookmark bar à la firefox integrate in Songbird layout?
This, with an option menu, is the last thing I miss to browse with Songbird only!

I have installed your addon to songbird 1.4.3x. I can see the Bookmarks at the left pane as normal but no the "+" that should be near to the search place. How can i add my bookmarks then?

Thank you so much for creating this. I would have never found some of my bookmarks again and there had been no warning they were going to disappear with the update.

I've updated the addon on SB 1.8.0a, and bookmarks are totally gone: no node, no menu entry, no button. Did I miss anything?

Actually, I did a few tests all the same, and the Nightly Tester Tools seems to be the one that is causing the issue (version 2.5a6pre): disabling it solves it.

Tried installing this on my vista laptop, i'm getting nothing! Isn't there any way to get bookmarks on songbird? (i'm new to this)

Same question here : how can we add bookmarks ?

Actually running a 1.7.2b version, with a tweaked install.rdf of this addon. The Bookmark menu appears, but neither drag'n'drop nor wathever clever keyboard shortcut works.

Removing a feature before providing any replacement, that sounds more Gnome-ish ;-) (sorry for that easy troll)

Isn´'t there some way to import bookmarks? its really driving me crazy. I really want to use songbird, but small things like this just makes me give up on it.

@stevel: Hi! Can I have bookmarks on the service pane please, like in earlier version? Could you add option to show/hide Bookmarks node in the service pane please? The menu entry is a good idea, but I personally prefer have bookmarks in the service pane. More comfortable to me.
And context menu options for the menu entry would be useful with "Properties", "Delete", "Organize" menuitems.

Just installed Songbird 1.7.2 and it seems I cant install this due to version incompatibility (but your release notes say this should work through v1.8) -- confused!

There is no version of this addon that fits with 1.7.3 (either 1.4 or 1.8, but no 1.7)
Would you mind adding a new version that would be compliant with 1.7.3 (I think 0.1.1 works fine with it).
