Thanks ;-)

You can change LIRC server port and LIRC commands in Options (Tools->Addons...) window.
Implemented commands:
About LIRC:
winlirc.sourceforge.net
www.lirc.org
This plugin was tested only on windows. Please report if it works on linux.
Fixed Mute and Play/Pause commands
Thanks ;-)
Hi, I'm trying to use lirc and songbird together on Linux but I can't find how ... has anyone tested the addon on linux ?
On my distro (gentoo), lircd doesn't seem to listen on inet socket by default so I ran lircd manually :
lircd --listen=127.0.0.1:8765 -n
Then when I start songbird, lircd shows :
lircd-0.8.5[4500]: accepted new client from 127.0.0.1
lircd-0.8.5[4500]: initializing '/dev/usb/hiddev0'
That's a good sign, isn't it ?
I suppose that the problem comes from my config file .lircrc. I added an entry as I did for mplayer :
begin
button = PLAY
prog = SongBird
config = PlayPause
repeat = 2
end
But still nothing happens when I press the PlayPause button of my remote ... Have I done something wrong here ?
Thanks,
Laurent

Sounds like it would be pretty cool, It might be worthwhile to add some instructions and descriptions (additional software/remotes) on how you could get started using it (people love links)
