It's not working for me, once I set settings, clic on "Lock with BirdCage" do nothing !

A password protected lock-up for your Songbird.
Description
BirdCage adds a menu option to the Tools menu which allows you to to lock up Songbird for unattended playback. It is intended to provide a basic level of protection; it is not impregnable!
The first time you select the BirdCage menu option, its preferences pane will open and you will have to set a security question/password reminder (and enter, and confirm, the answer!)
You can change the preferences, in the normal way, at any time. I've forced the entry of question and answer to be in step, so that you are encouraged to keep them in agreement. If you change your security question, you will have to enter and confirm an answer: you can't change an answer without first changing the question.
When your security info. has been set, select the BirdCage menu option and the BirdCage screen will appear over the top of Songbird. The mouse wheel volume control is the only Songbird control which still operates while BirdCage is on.
Click on the lock to show the password entry box; enter the password, click the tick and, if the password is correct , the screen will clear. You can click on the question mark to see your security question/password reminder.
If you forget your password: you will have to uninstall BirdCage. If you have chosen the 'Open Locked - never' option, you can just restart Songbid and uninstall this add on. In other cases you will have to close Songbird from the task bar and open it in Safe Mode (an option in the system's Songbird menu). When opening in safe mode, choose to 'disable all add ons' and restart. When in Songbird, uninstall BirdCage and restart Songbird in normal mode.

I need a bit more info than that, I'm afraid. Do you mean you can't set a password in the prefs or, having set a password, you can't enter any passwords in the main window or having entered a password in the main window BirdCage is not recognising the valid password?
I'm happy to look into any issues, but you need to give me enough info. to try to find any problem. Remember, it is working fine for me, (or I wouldn't have released it) so you need to try to identify the circumstances that have caused your issue!

Sorry, the problem was when I locked it for the first time and it made me set a password it would not accept any of them. I tried again today and it accepted the password as it should. Only now when I click on the lock button nothing happens.
I have version 1.1 installed on Songbird 1.2.0, Build 1146 (20090616030043)

It is finally working everything seems as it should.
I removed some add-ons that i dont use at all so that might have helped, I'm not sure here are my add-ons anyway:

This is really useful now.
I have a few suggestions for you too,
You might want to consider making a few changes to the UI of the locked dialog.
Instead of having to click on the lock it could perhaps show the text we set then the password input field below it.
Also being able to hit enter instead of clicking on the checkmark would be great.

62! I was going to work through your addons to try to find any conflict! Glad I don't have to. What add ons did you uninstall?
Thought I'd keep the input mechanism slightly hidden (less likely to have someone interfering with it ?) Similarly, the click on the tick and 3 sec delay before retry. I think I'll wait for more feedback before changing this.
But will, definitely, do the enter key in/as next release.

I uninstalled a lot of feathers I never use, spotify, and a few others i cant remember.
That logic makes sense. Maybe the text could be a bit bigger though.

Ummm... i downloaded this and now it isn't recognizing my password is there a way around it because i know what add-on is messing it up. please help me.

There isn't much a point for this; if you use Songbird to automatically log into Last.fm, and have the "Master Password" enabled, you can't open Songbird until you enter that password. The system is similar to other Mozilla Software, Firefox, Thunderbird, Sunbird. It works for me in 1.2, but I use the portable edition (PortableApps).
