Yep, ability to save it's perfect. And then patch it into the songbird core, please. Too important and fundamental, to live as an add-on, imho. :-)

First of all, great addon, Great work Geekshadow... as usual.
Another thing off topic... When i looked at this rating, it was 5 stars after 3 ratings. I then gave it 5 stars and it dropped it ONE star. lol. I know I gave it 5 stars as it is still showing up as 5. So maybe something off with the rating system?
And finally, Looking forward to its integration with Geekshadows's Pane view. :)
this should be core, great job Geekshadow!
Beauty
Great job.
I have a suggestion though (it's about associating presets with music genres):
http://getsatisfaction.com/songbird/topics/equalizer_ideas_associate_preset_with_music_genre
That & saving presets would be awesome.
Also, there are already phrases available for eq presets (they probably planned it):
Like: equalizer.preset.classical
I think there's a phrase for all of your presets (look at translate site).
awesome idea...
however, I have a problem:
There is no difference at all when I switch between these presets.
Thanks alot! I saw your screenshot on blog post comment thread and was going to ask when it's coming. Things i would like to see in the future would saving your own presets, and and automatically changing presests based on a song's genre. I think those were mentioned above, but i said it anyway.
@martin_bighomer
Did you check the "On" checkbox?
..of course. For example, I select "Full Bass" and ...ok...it works. But then I want to switch to "Full Treble". Consequently, there's no difference at all!
I use Windows Vista and Songbird 1.2.0b2
I just realized that i notice no difference between the presets either. I think the actual settings aren't changing. I set my equalizer to have all the bars at the bottom and changed presets to find that the presets weren't loading. To get them to load, i have to modify the bars individually and the presets loads (one bar at a time). I hope that helps explain the problem.
I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 and Songbird 1.2.0b2
Here is a Walnut Pony with presets:

I too was too thrilled by this add-on, and didn't see the fact that sound wasn't changing until I actually played with it AND listend to my music :p
But yes, yesterday's version didn't change a thing and this seems to work fine.
SB 1.2b2 on Mac OS 10.5.7.
Perfect! You have now earned a 5 star rating. :)
Can I get the vista version of this
Génial !
I changed them to be animated, can I send you the code?
thx..now the bug is fixed!!!
please add ability the save own presets!
5 stars!
+1 for saving your own presets
Running windows 7, installed this after I installed your equalizer add-on and I don't see the presets menu.
Sexy slidin' !
I'm almost done with functionality to associate presets with music genres.
Once the layout shows up OK, I'll send it over. It's extremely useful
I can't install on windows xp,someone knows why?
The sliding is really cool but it's kind of slow for me. I hope I'm not asking for too much, but can you add an option to disable it?
@LIB53: Do you mean slow, in like it uses much CPU and therefore goes slow?
In that case I'll see if I can finetune the animation parameters to work smoother on older computers.
Or is does it go fluent, but the animation takes too much time by default?
for some reason it isn't displaying for me.
The equalizer is just one more thing that makes Songbird better than Amarok 2, adding presets puts the icing on the equalizer cake. Great work people!!!
Nvm, it seems fine for me now. It actually looks great on Glossy Coat 2 because it has no thumb without hover. I think my issue is that I'm used to instantaneous switching between presets without even that 1 second wait for the animation. Maybe if you got it to load the changes and then animate the change?
Thank you for this Geekshadow, it's working perfectly for me. Well done on picking up where the Songbird team left off, this addon fits perfectly in with the player, should definitely be core!
@GeekShadow: Cool! :D Thanks!
I made an account, just to thank you for this great add-on. Improved my sound quality 10x :D
hi that's a great idea, but the install button isn't activ.
knows somebody how I can get it installed?
@H123: You need to update Songbird into version 1.2.0.
@Hiromacu
thanks a lot for the information, it works. I was looking for a long time, for a Add-On like this.
great Add-on
Awesome. Thanks!
where is rap setting
It's nice but why the Pony? Lol.
Nice! My only suggestion would be to add a Jazz preset :)
Hey !! This will be very interesting for me if it's work in LINUX !! But it don't ! :(
De toute façon il n'y a aucun soft qui intégre un equalizer sur Linux ! A croire qu'il n'y a pas moyen de le faire !!
Great Addon :-)
Just some feature requests:
1) Would be great to have a preset for "opera".
2) Would be great to have a "reset to default value" button
(if someone changes your original values and wants to go back to the default values).
--> That "reset button" should only reset the current chosen preset - not all 18 presets at the same time.
3) I am not sure if this request is really something for your Addon to implement, but would be great to have a button (e. g. next to the "volume" button) for opening the equalizer window.
Amendment for 3):
The above requested button for opening the equalizer window should be available OPTIONALLY and not by default (because some users might want such a button, some might not).
muy bueno loco!·!· gracias·!·!·
@MrX:
The Pane Buttons addon (http://addons.songbirdnest.com/addon/1304) adds an equalizer button right next to the shuffle and repeat buttons. You can choose whether or not to display this button, along with others, in the addon's options menu.
been looking for this one, great, just got songbird cos itunes cant play my wmadrms, nice job, any crossfade coming soon ?
This essential add-on should be part of Songbird by default.

Songbird 1.2.0, Build 1146 (20090616030029)
Ubuntu 9.04 - Jaunty Jackalope
Well done.
How about taking metadata genre information?
Just a question, is the ability to be able to add presets going to be added? :)
Manusnake
Works great!
As said, add the ability to save our own presets and it'll be perfect.
