Hello, GeekShadow as i can see, you have some knowledge in add-ons development. So I like to know if you can help in the extension of the next thread...

http://getsatisfaction.com/songbird/topics/integration_with_gnome_libnotify

That is about a simple notifier for the Ubuntu Linux Desktop... Thanks for read, and congratulations for the effort on all the add-ons you made!

This is a really useful add-on and i use it as my bottom pane now. However, can you do me a favor and have the add-on stretch out across the whole area? Right now it's kind of huddled up in a corner. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the add-on.

This extension is not an Equalizer but a way to open the Equalizer included in the next version of Songbird that come this month !
The Equalizer will work on Win/Linux/Mac

Thanks for this Add-on, GeekShadow! :-)
Could you enable it for bottom-left-pane (album art pane), too? Thanks!

@GeekShadow,

May I suggest that you post an image that shows just how this is displayed in songbird? Absolutely nice work. Thank you for this great work!

The image here just sends the impression, at least to me, that it is just a pane button to launch the standalone Equalizer, when that is absolutely not the case.

I second Atreiu's request. :)

You seems to not understand... this add-on is for Songbird 1.2 !
So go grab the Beta 1 and install it !

This add-on will not work on Songbird 1.1

I have Songbird 1.1.2 and I want to get Songbird 1.2.0b1 so I can install this add-on, how do I go about doing that? And where do I go to do that?

And once the "actual" equalizer is available, how do I download it? In the Roadmap, I saw it's in progress but once that status says "completed", I'm not sure how to download it?

@nrifkin
Just install Songbird 1.2.0b2. The equalizer comes with it. Then install this add-on. You don't have to download the equalizer.

@Geekshadow
Are you going to put the presets jump-down into this pane? Just asking out of curiosity.

@GeekShadow: I agree with Atreiu! It would be wonderful to get this add-on in the bottom-left-pane. :P

Excellent work for both add-ons geekshadow! I don't know if this is possible or if you'd have any interest but one suggestion would be to show some technical information about the track, a la the details pane, to fill up the rest of the space in the pane. Looks a little funny as it is, but still incredibly useful. Thanks again!

Great Addon :-)

2 (Feature-)Requests:

a) Might be useful to alternatively allow the user to display the "equalizer pane" on the right-hand side pane of Songbird instead of the bottom pane (in the buttom pane there's too much unused space in the right half of the window AND moreover I cannot display other Addons (e. g. mashtape) at the same time what is the biggest problem).

b) Would be nice if you could remove some empty space below the euqalizer. By standard there's about 1/3 unused space below. Okay, can be reduced manually with the mouse, but as soon as you chose another addon in the bottom pane (e. g. mashtape) and then go back to the "equalizer pane", the empty space is there again by standard.

Amendment for request a):

Would be best if the user would have an OPTION where to put the "equalizer pane" to (left, middle, right songbird pane).
Because even in the right songbird pane there would be the same problem as described above: if I use the right songbird pane for the "equalizer" and other addons (e. g. "lyric master") I can have only one at the same time, UNLESS you would be able to SPLIT the RIGHT songbird pane so that there could be used 2 addons at the same time.
Having an option where to put the "equalizer pane" to would enable users for example to put the euqalizer in the left songbird pane instead of the "album arts" which are mostly empty (in my case) and the smallest lost if not displayed anymore (in comparison with other addons like mashtape and lyric master for example which are vital for users like me).

This is great, and I do agree with MrX, you should be able to decide where to put it. Too bad songbird doesn't have the option to also open it in a new window. It be also nice to have presets, like the usuall jazz, rock, pop etc. And it be nice to add your own custom presets isntead of jus thave one spot for custom :(

Hi, it's been suggested before that this add-on is "made" to be used in the service pane area - why not make it happen?
