Dark and classy pure player skin with a clean looking layout and glass effects. Now has 4 other variations included.
Description
A dark and classy pure player skin that brings a fresh new clean and precise layout to your desktop. While using a not so simple background, Black Diamond remains a simple looking skin with effective use of gloss and black gradients. Black Diamond is my first pure player skin and i hope to do more in the future. I've always felt that feedback is the most important aspect in add-on development, so please tell me what you think about this add-on. Also, don't forget to rate it.

Pure Player Tips for Linux users:
*Make use of Compiz and set the opacity of pure player down a little bit. A good mouse shortcut for this is to hold Alt+Scroll Up/Down Mouse Wheel.Screenshot

I like it as it is, and i especially love the player controls (as always, in your skins)!
The only little thing I notice is, that the vertical distances between the trackname - artist - album - progressbar seem somehow arbitrary. But if you did this by purpose, there is nothing wrong with it. (It might even make it more interesting...)

PS: And thanks for making a skin, that doesn't depend on the round-border-feature to look good. I did too much of these and already had a bad conscience for the people who can't use this feature. :-)

You have used an older version of a skin as base. So there are some bugs unsolved in yours.
I marked them in this Screenshot, with the corresponding number of fixes described here in the Wiki.

Thanks for commenting, but i like the layout the way it is. Maybe if it's possible to make a pure player pack (multiple skins in one add-on) I'll hold your idea as an alternative, along with other graphical variations.

The vertical spacing was my mistake. I was readjusting things because i slimmed down the little gloss bar at the top and shifted everything up except album name. I didn't round on purpose as well because like you said, i felt people that couldn't use this feature should still enjoy a good looking skin. Also, rounding looks bad on this. I have pure player 0.7.5.0 and I'm not getting those problems. I'll still do all those changes though because you apparently are having those issues.

the volume bar is so freaking cool... thx.
One bug: I'm not able the handle the progress correctly: For example, I can't put the progress to the real beginning. And in the end, the repeat and shuffle button perturb the handling of the progress bar.

@martin_bighomer: Drag & Drop via CTRL should work on _all_ skins, and so it does on "Black Diamond" (at least for me). You just don't see the cursor change. (LIB53, that's "Bug 7" ;-)

This actually was the Aero Bird Pro skin, but i released it as a seperate skin. Aero Bird Pro 1.0RC now has variation of this with more blue.

Love the skin, I wish it just had the track time on it. The bar sucks for finding specific spots in songs, IMO.

This is a pure player skin. To use this add-on, you'll need to install pure player. Once you have pure player, you can switch you pure player to this skin.

- track title is a little bit big
- control buttons (previous, play/pause, next) should be under the text boxes (smaller size)
