Hiromacu
@andy65: I glad you like it.
What is the resolution of your screen?

My first feather inspired by my 'Chrome' skin what I made for the earlier version of Pure Player add-on (made by atreiu). 'Chrome' Pure Player skin now is inside in this feather (choose [Current Feather] in Pure Player add-on).
Try my other metallic feather too: Steel! :)
Supported add-ons:
- Adblock Plus
- Album List
- Album View
- Audio Bookmarks
- BirdTabs (choose [This Feather] style in preferences of the add-on)

- Details
- Details Pane
- digitalClock
- Directory Browser
- Divided Tag Cloud
- Greasemonkey
- Grid View
- Griddy
- Guitar Tab
- Last.fm
- Last.fm Friends
- Last.fm Sidebar
- LyricMaster (choose [Current Feather] display style in preferences of the add-on)

Feather Options
- Nav-bar and Tab-bar are moved over service-pane (default is checked),
- Shuffle/Repeat buttons are moved after faceplate (default is checked),
- Show/hide feather's title (default is show),
- Setable feather's title (default is 'Songbird - Chrome').
Preferences for Pure Player skin in this feather:
- Animated images: This skin doesn't contain animated images.
- Volume bar: You can hide it if you want.
- Shuffle/Repeat box: You can hide it if you want.
- Jump-to button: You can hide it if you want.
- Round window corners: This skin contains version with rounded corners too.
- Windows shadow: It looks good only if you turn off round window corners option.
- Own context menu style: This skin uses Chrome feather's style.
- Rounded context menu corners: This skin uses Chrome feather's style.
- Context menu transparency: This skin uses Chrome feather's style.
Medium Player support:
- I like this player mode so I decided to add it personally to Purple Rain. This is because Alfredkayser didn't release More-Purple yet after one year. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not complaining. It is just a fact. I'll not upload my medium player officially, I just add this link to download it. Enjoy!
Note: There are some animated PNG images (play/pause button, stop button and inactive splash image) just for the style.
Attention!
Input selection color is changed from default to gray. It loads only when Songbird starts, a feather changing doesn't enough (it's a Songbird core behavior). Unfortunately I couldn't change the selection input color of Comment and Lyrics (LyricMaster, MLyrics) in the Metadata Editor.
Works with Songbird 1.8.0 - 1.10.0a
- video control panel stylizing,
- polishings and fixings on service-pane, and on device manager (info-pane),
- and some other minor fixings, code cleaning.
Add-on support:
- Adblock Plus (more stylizing),
- Recommended Songs (small fixings),
- Greasemonkey.
My monitor is a samsung 2343, the resolution is 2048x1152.
I like it!!!
Wow, that was fast - thank you!
Looks perfect now :-)
VERY nice. Good job dude.
VERY nice. Good job dude.
Now this one's got potential! (Great animated play/pause button, ever since I've downloaded this feather, I'm kind of obsessionally pausing my play list :) Only a small suggestion: I'd maybe think about switching the images for selected/non-selected tab (the non-selected, in my opinion, should be the selected one and vice versa).
Thanks Hiromacu and keep up the good work!
Thanks for taking the time to make BirdTabs compatible with your feather!
Hi, I love this skin, but how do i get the itunes covert flow with the 3 columns underneath? I could only find one other skin that had this, but it is discontinued.
thanks
Divided Tag Cloud looks great! Still one of my favorite feathers.
I like it, but there is an annyoing issue.
When the playing is longer than the screen display, then the scrollbar hides the 5th star of the rating.
(Maybe it's different without plugins which use a pane on the right side. I have the plugins "Now playing list" and "Directory Browser" installed).
Addition:
Sorry, it's not you skin's fault. The 5th star is hidden without your plugin too.
Great feather again. Thanks :)
absolutely gorgeous
Very nice skin, excellent in fact. However I would never call this Chrome. Chrome is shiny, it reflects like a mirror, it's also pretty difficult to pull off in a skin I realize, I have tried it myself. A better name for this look would be Stainless, as in stainless steel or maybe Brushed Nickel. Just a suggestion and again, excellent work.
I would suggest just "Steel".. sounds tough.. :-P
I can see Woofa's point, but nonetheless think that the listed names simply don't sound as good as the current one. The backgrounds etc. of your feathers might not be chromish or shiny enough, but some other elements (like buttons and media-pane) fit the "chrome" description perfectly. A word about the next best candidate: your feathers has a very light, responsive feel to it, whereas "Steel" seems heavy, robust and ... well ... you know what I mean. Also, if I look only at the basic background element (the brushed steel pattern), none of the suggested names sound exactly right, so maybe you should go with a more abstract one like simply "Brushed" - I believe no one could argue against that. Anyway, this is not a vote, just my opinion. As Shakespeare has put it:
"What's in a name? That which we call chrome
By any other name would smell as sweet." ;-P
Cheers
Google Chrome has a theme that they just call "Brushed"..

so ya, its whatever... ;-)
heh. just looked at verso's comment. lol. funny coincidence i guess. or he's a good namer... :-P
Hi Hiromacu
Thanks for all these beautiful feathers!
By the way, I have a small remark (same for Steel, by the way, sorry for X-posting :) ): I find the main tab header (the one for the library) really to harsh and "black&white" (dark grey&white, actually)... maybe more gradient would be nicer. What do you think?
Hi Hiromacu
Sorry, I missed your question :)
Yes, of course, I liked the change very much (as far as I can remember as I switched to Korn a few weeks ago).
Looking forward to seeing the new KЯome ;)
Dear Hiromacu
I'm using Version : Songbird 1.4.2, Build 1434 (20091221185809)
Chrome does not appear in festhers list even if I already installed it.
Thanks for the update!
(This might solve your image problem.)
Thanks for the update!
I think there is a little bug with display pane which have no addon selected: they are pink...
Dark violet is indeed the color I was thinking, you find it!
@Hiromacu: I like this feather, but found 1 issue:
It is nearly impossible to see the songbird version in the 'About songbird...' dialog (white font on nearly white background)
@Hiromacu
Thanks for this update :) Very nice look indeed!
One glitch I 've noted: the mouse-over image of the "play" button in 1.9a doesn't seem to be ok (sort of bad reflection)
... on windows XP, in case it matters :)
@Hiromacu
Thanks... but the problem is still there actually :(!!
See the 2 remaining glitches (one is almost not visible on the right) here: http://vvcap.net/db/fLyLPyZX1lTfEidDtzQZ.htp
back again, sorry!
On 1.9a at least, there is a glitch in the Add Manager as well.
See here: http://vvcap.net/db/er04Us8bkRThu9dqTMrL.htp
Thanks :)
@Hiromacu
I'm using 1.9a build 1843 as my every day Songbird, and it is pretty stable. But I won't move to 1.10a as I want to stay on the 1.9 branch for the moment.
Lots of perf improvement on large libraries, compared to 1.8, and a nice "now playing list" integrated feature, at last :)
So build 1843 is the one where I can see those small problems.
By the way, I think you can install the alpha build 1843 in parallel with the official Songbird 1.8, and use a dedicated new profile.
@Hiromacu
Here I am again with another small glitch that I noticed today (using build 1.10 1862):
See the screenshots here:
http://vvcap.net/db/zid_4b9DTzCiNppYVd5Y.htp
The left menu is moving vertically when you switch from Music library to pane without top bars like Concerts or Extended library or the node for a connected device.
This doesn't happen with the Purple Rain default feather.
Thanks :)
@Hiromacu
Thanks, I totally missed the options for Chrome (that is the first time I see options for feathers :) nice!)
nice feather
really good work
What is the add-on you use for putting the albums in a half circle ? :D
@Hiromacu
Thank you very much
by the way i love this feather very much
andy65
Beautiful - but unfortunately the chrome-texture in the menubar isn't wide enough for my monitor.
