Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
No lag for me, works just as it should.
This is MMKeys 0.7 (http://addons.songbirdnest.com/addon/21) compiled for 64-bit Linux and including the Songbird 1.1.1 patch by jigso (bottom of that page).
Tested and working fine with Songbird 1.1.1 on Ubuntu 8.10 amd64. (Note that that means xulrunner 1.9, AFAIK the original MMKeys was compiled with xulrunner 1.8 or lower.)
Bump version compatibility (Plugin also rebuilt with xulrunner 1.9.1).
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Thanks firetech,
Addon works great. Unfortunately I had to upgrade Songbird to 1.1.1 in order to use it thus losing other addons that haven't been upgraded to the new release of Songbird.
Ubuntu Intrepid on x86_64
Thanks, m8!
U ROCK!!!
It doesn't seem to be working for me. It should make key XF86AudioPlay play/pause Songbird, correct?
A million thank yous.
Ah, it's working now (I had messed up my shortcut keys by trying to remap them a while ago). Thanks!
Works on Ubuntu 9.04 beta. Thanks!
The new bug report was filed against MMKeys add-on:
http://bugzilla.songbirdnest.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16135
Working on HP dv6646 with Ubuntu 9.04 and Songbrid 1.1.2. Thank you so much, you are the man.
Thanks a lot. Now I can use Songbird instead of Rhythmbox
That's such a win. You rock!
Doesnt seem to work with Kubuntu Jaunty (though works fine in Gnome). I've fruitlessly (and cluelessly) played with input actions to no avail
To make it work in KDE you simply have to run "gnome-settings-daemon", eg. from KDE's Autostart folder. Or you can choose the "hard" way and assign some dbus-send commands to the audiokeys in KDE settings for hotkeys. That way you don't have gnome mixing up KDE. The commands are actually not that complicated, but i don't have them here right now.
Oh, yes, and by the way: Thank you for the addon! It's a must for linux users.

If your keyboard does not give the right XF86 command to your system, you can use the xmodmap tool to remap them. You can assign any key on your keyboard to be the XF86AudioPlay key, for example. Very handy if your keyboard has some special keys, but they are not assigned to be audio controls by default. I have some stupid "help" button on my notebook - it now starts/pauses Songbird playback.
Works fine with Songbird 1.2.0 on Ubuntu 9.04
Thank you!!!
I had the 32bit version working beautifully on Fedora 10, Songbird 1.1.1. But I just upgraded to Fedora 11, 64bit, Songbird 1.2.0 and when launching Songbird from terminal it outputs, "Could not create the MMKeys instance". A fix would be awesome. : )
It works very well on Ubuntu 9.04 64 bits installed on a MacBook Unibody! Thank u, great job!
wow awesomeness man, thank you so much, now I can use songbird the way it should be =D

I've been waiting for playback controls... It was driving me crazy having to open Songbird every time I wanted to change track or pause.
I am using this plugin in a 64-bit environment with Ubuntu 9.10. Songbird Version: 1.2.0, Build 1146
Works great!
Just noticed there was an upgrade available for Songbird, 1.5. This doesn't appear to work in 1.5 Any word on when an update will be available?
This add-on now works perfectly with Songbird 1.4.3 on Fedora 11 64bit. Thank you, I'm very happy to have it back!

I LOVE YOU!
I've been waiting so long for 64 bit MMkeys! It does seem kinda lagy though.
