A sidebar to see your Last.FM profile.
Allows you to view your profile in a display pane, this is best used in the right sidebar display pane.
Probably should have mentioned that this depends on the last.fm add on from Songbird.

Hey Stevo, I'm having a problem with the "The list will update on each track change." feature not behaving. I have posted the issue in more detail on GetSatisfaction:

Could have a option to disable images (our Photos on last.fm acc) or just make smaller
I think I'm being a bit blind, but I can't see the preferences pane anywhere? Glad to an update though - love the idea of this addon. :)
@Slate8 It should be under the main Songbird Preferences window should be a tab called Last.FM Sidebar
Doh! Ok, can't believed I missed that. TBH didn't even think to look in there as assumed there was going to be a settings pane/frame as part of the addon on the right as before.Haha! Anyway, all sorted now - thanks for the help and keep up the great work stevo!
it doesn´t show any sidebar in songbird 1.0 and xp sp3! I guess it's because i have lyrics master installed... any help please!
The lastfm sidebar indicate the last played songs.
Suggest : I Mean that a left panel can indicate the songs of the lastfm's playlist
for exemple : the songs who are indicate in this webpage :
http://www.lastfm.fr/user/[name of user]/library/playlists
It's the same in mediamonkey with the lastfm nodes who indicate the content of lastfm user's playlist.
left panel or right panel...
Great to see this working for 1.1.1b3, certainly an add-on I have been missing! I just have one concern. In 1.0 I could choose to view this add-on in the left pane, below the service pane. This doesn't seem to work this time around, it will only show up in the right pane - which is where I personally prefer to have "Now playing" running.
Please fix this and I will be a happy bird(user)!

And I am used to have this one at Content Pane bottom which does not seem to work in this new version - may that be fixed as well, please? I use Album art at left and Lyrics master at right sidebar.
I'll have a look at that when I can, I just need to wait until I get my home internet connected again. I also need to do another version bump since this addon stops working if you update the last.fm addon.

As this seemed a nice add-on I installed it- as usual after reading the comments posted by the members of this lively community!, to check out if really worked etc ;) Now complaints from other users, everybody seems to love it, so...
I've been using songbird from way back in years, using the beta versions, etc. Now I'm using 1.1.1. in both an iMac and a MacBook. The add-on installed allright but I don't see it in any of the sidebars, in any of the computers... where is it? Am I being plain dumb or missing something? Can you please help? Being an intensive user of last.fm and songbird I would love a first-class working add-on!...

Yes sorry about that, it isn't working right now. The reason is that for security it is set to only work with particular versions of the last.fm scrobbing addon, and that was updated recently so the current version of this addon doesn't work with the current version of the last.fm one. It should be easy to fix and my internet should get connected today (fingers crossed) so hopefully you'll get an update notification soon and it will all be working.
The sidebar isnt working for me anymore.. even though its installed, the right sidebar menu wont show last.fm bar there.. and in addon options it says this "Requires additional items" It was working for me earlier before updating the scrobbler n songbird
Its not working for me either. What should we install so it will work again?

It might just be my setup, but this seems to have stopped working in 1.2 Beta 1. The add-on installs fine but I cannot choose it from the display pane picker icon. Anyone else get this?
Ah that would be because the last.fm addon was just updated. I'll have to do another version bump.

@nickm: It's stopped working completely! There is a add-on message in option panel: 'Requires additional items'. What additional items? WinXP MCE (SP3), Songbird 1.2.0, Build 1146
Can confirm it has stopped working for me too.
allright, had the same problem, here's the solution...
- download the .xpi and rename it to .zip
- open "archive" with winrar and grab install.rdf
- open file with an editor of your chice and look for <em:maxversion>
- change version number to a higher one (whatever you want)
- put .rdf back in the zip and rename it again to .xpi
- deinstall old add-on and install your fixed new one
- have fun ;)

I'm new to Songbird, just downloaded it today. Previously a big winamp fan.
I'm liking the idea of some Last.fm integration... and I've been promised as much. But all I can see are the love, ban & tag icons next to the now playing track.
It seems there should be a sidebar on the right somewhere?
From pictures it looks like it should also be coming up under 'radio' in the sidebar. I don't even have a 'radio' section in my sidebar. :S
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to take a big leap away from winamp here...

comments I've found of this sort seem to be months and months old.
No worries, for this and all "sidebar" addons you need to enable the sidebar by clicking on the 3 vertical lines on the right border of the app. You can then select which addon you want displayed by clicking on the down arrow up the top between the sidebar and the main player.
Bonus. Thats put me on the right track. Thanks a bunch.
One more little thing tho, am I wrong in believing theres a way to play my recommended tunes, neighborhood etc from the bar on the left? I think it should be underneath library, downloads, services and playlists. That'd be nice.
