Adds opacity-option to mini-players. (Probably only working on Windows!)
This adds an option to mini-players context menu to set transparency.
On mouse-over, the mini-player automatically becomes fully visible again. Your opacity-level is remembered, even if you switch feathers or restart.
This is just a workaround, till opacity is added to the songbird-core.
That's why I don't want to spend much time on this or add more features. I hope you understand that.
As far as I know, this addon is only working with MS Windows. Also you might have problems on Vista, if Aero is enabled.

oh yea first download goes to me! :P
@Brendy: Congratulations, but the Olympics are over ..;-)
yea unfortunately :( oh well. only another 4 years before the next olympics :D. nice add on. only tested it briefly but works fine. nice work!
how hard would it be to implement something like this into the main player? maybe not when its maximized but when its just a window.... just a thought
@Brendy, unfortunately that's way harder. I can't get medium-player transparent, either. I just found the transparency-thing while i was building the mini-player for YABS. But this way only works with mini-player :-/
Perhaps a better add-on developer could get into this, but i think that's not worth it, because i hope it will be in songbird-core, soon.
man, I simply have top shake my head man... again, nice work. I am just following you.
This is pre implemented in linux but does not work with songbird too bad this addon does not do the trick, for it does not work with linux.
works nice. Can you make the miniplayer be opaque except for the text (track name, etc)?
@danielma: thanks for your comment! Nice suggestion, but sadly it doesn't work. If I make the players background transparent, everything on it will be automatically transparent, too.
However, it would be possible, to create an extra Miniplayer for this purpose (like MoreGonzo adds a Medium-Player), where there is no background at all, but I'm busy with my current add-ons.
Linux please!!!
Jerome: How?!
using vista 32 bit. Transparency acts as if it should be working, but in reality, it is not see through. Works with mnii player, but not pure player. Aero is enabled. If this is known/expected for now, i would not go through the hassle of doublechekking it with aero off.
atreiu : Using "Compiz Fusion" !
@deOmega: Opacity is just using the same transparency technique as like Round Borders in Pure Player. So if round borders work for you without Aero, but not with it, there is a good chance that Opacity will work for you without Aero, if it doesn't work with it.
@Jerome: How can I command "Compiz" with Javascript?
@atreiu : I don't know, i'm not a programer :p
@Jerome: Me neither :) I only know html & javascript :)
@atreiu: Doesn't work in Medium Player view. Otherwise it's a very good idea and works well. ;)
I absolutely love this add-on! Like Hiromacu, I would like to see it work with Medium Player view, but it's perfect for Mini Player. Great job! :)
@atreiu: Great! It works well in Medium Player view. thx ;)
