Release Notes

1. Selection is now working properly
2. Double clicking an album will now play that album.

Holding down the metakey (command on mac) will allow for multiple selection (double clicking with metakey will add the album to selection then play the selection).

Thanks a lot! But playing albums doesn't work for me, yet. Doubleclick just starts playing the unfiltered playlist.

Ups, sorry, it works! A restart did it. Don't know why I had problems on the first try. *thumbs up*!

Hi stevo, sorry, i've got the same problem again: sometimes just a doubleclick doesn't start the album, but starts playing the current playlist (which is all music). It seems to me, that sometimes a doubleclick just don't filter for the album... i didn't discovered a pattern in this, yet...

I am SO glad someone is doing this. This is a fabulous addition to SB.

One bug I can spot so far:

If you are already playing, say, the 5th track in a playlist and you double click on a new album, the new playlist appears and begins to play the 5th track of that new album, rather than the 1st. You need to reset the playing track to the first one in the new list following a double click.

And some suggestions for the future:

    • User chosen info to place under the covers. It would be great to choose from Album Name, Artist Name and Year of Release as items to display adjacent to the covers. This is useful info to have displayed. If there were more than one artist for an album, perhaps it could default to "Various Artists" or something, or display them as a comma separated list? If there was more than one year, perhaps the list thing would work too?
    • Ability to sort by album name, artist name or year of release
    • Ability to break albums into pages. I have 800 albums - it takes a good few minutes to load all of them. Could you break this into pages defined by letters of the alphabet, or grouped letters of the alphabet ("ABC","DEF","GHI" etc). Then the page wouldn't take so long to load?
    • If you don't like the page idea, how about some index buttons at the top, so that you can jump to the selected letter on the page? I press "F" which takes me to the albums beginning with "F" for example.
    • Is there some way of caching the page so it doesn't have to rebuild each time? Perhaps not.

    What do other people think?

    hi stevo,

i like nickzeff's idea of being able to sort in more than one way, not just alphabetically by album.

i have a problem with certain albums not appearing at all in this view, that other views have no problem showing. i don't just mean the art- i mean the album itself doesn't show up at all. (go to filter view, for example, it's there, back to this view, nothing.) the one i can't fix at all is one i compiled myself from two separate albums; although another album a friend compiled is completely mixed, and it shows up fine.

finally, the art disappears regularly; i'm constantly reloading it in the metadata, even when no changes have been made to the album.

by far this is my favorite view, hope these bugs are tweakable. thank you!
