Description
View your media as an album list.
Note: This is still alpha stage.
Todo:
Work on Scrolling horizontally.
Make vertical scrolling better with the albums.
Fix up styling issues (like the Track number centering)
Make sure the album information is correct and users can set the rating for an album.
Add ability to edit some information (like track names etc.)
Add drag and drop and context menu for the album image.
Add ability to focus a track and display currently playing track.
Try to use the tree styling as much as possible for this view.
Add ability to sort, add, remove, re size, and move columns.
Continue on performance improvements.
Release Notes
Added Mouse scrolling and fixed up some minor display issues. Added ratings, but needs styling.

i was just wating for that!
but i can't play songs, nothing changes when i click on an album or on a music...
Yeah. High praise for the style of this nifty little media view.
But being able to play songs from it is a must!!
Add that and you got an eye-candy system seller on your hands ;-)

Could you use feathers-defaults for background-color, column-header (background-image) and rating-image?
Then it would work with all feathers, even the dark-ones ;-)

Excellent addon as usual. I know u said it is in very early beta, but just a quick feedback, since you said that selecting a song allows it to play... it does not work for me.
When I double click on any track in that view, random songs would play with their respective album art showing up in the left bottom pane. Actually, I cannot get any song I select in that view to play.
Library is783songs, Windows Vista32 bit

yeah same here. The wrong songs play -- but it's not random as the same wrong song plays each time. Also, scrolling is not really working. It takes about 5 seconds before a command to scroll up or down actually happens.

Hey guys, don't you know what "very alpha" means? It means that it's not really usable, yet! Steve explained that. I'm sure he knows, that there are problems. Just be patient. (I know that hard, with such a great looking add-on with even greater ambitions =)

I posted to give him feedback, just in case, as he indicated that the specific feature should be working. I also realize it is in alpha (not Beta), so MANY issues are expected, and not expecting him to resolve any overnight. He may be aware... but then again, he may not,so why not give him feedback when possible?

why does the addons is very slow under linux~?
This add on runs very slow on Vista with SongBird 0.7. trying to select an album to play is almost painful.
For that ask why this is slow:It's not ready for everyday use. Read the description before posting. lol.
An update would be great though. I know it must be tiring to hear people asking for updates, but this is the most anticipated add-on for me.

Hey man, thanks for this. I see a lot of the issues I've been having are being addressed and I can't wait to see everything come to fruition! Thanks for all your hard work.
Another possible suggestion. When the song switches would it be possible to have the view in the main library window switch also to highlight that song. Essentially the same function as just clicking the song in the play panel but automatically instead.

anyhow (i knoooowww... it's only beta), 2 things not working to well yet:
1) scolling is strange
2) cant sort my songs by clicking on the artist/album/song etc tab.
i'm really hoping on soon updates - the view of your plugin is the ONLY thing in songbird i missed about itunes (damn itunes!) - thank you so much ! :)
Would it be possible to make two columns, one column (i.e. left) would contain artist list, second would contain this album list only for selected album.
@szymex - I am not sure I understand what you mean, you want a filter list (like the 3 at the top of the normal playlist) on the left with all the artists then the album list for selected artists? If that is what you mean I think I may be able to swing something.
Love the concept for sorting, much more intuitive than default view. Like other users, scrolling is odd, sometimes it picks albums, other times it scrolls the page as expected. Would loooooove if you added (at least an option) to group all songs with no album info by artist. Basically my problem is I have a lot of instrumentals and random songs not on albums and it creates an album for each one! Makes this almost unfunctional. Awesome concept, a little more polishing and it'll be perfect.
once you get the vertical scrolling issue worked out...this will be great. until then, i'll have to stick to the normal views. it seems almost like you are making the vertical scrolling more complicated than it has to be. don't worry about scrolling of the individual album, just make it a solid page that scrolls. ~thanks!
