Awesome Addon - I love it - but why are there some searches that return songs at www.seeqpod.com but nothing in songbird?

Having problems with 0.7 and 0.8pre

Conduct a search, progress bar completes, but zero results.

This happens no matter what I try, when I can go to the actual seeqpod website and get results with the same search.

If you have Songbird version 1.0 you can only install add-ons that are compatible with version 1.0. Since Songbird was just recently updated a lot of add-ons have not been updated with 1.0 compatibility yet. I'm sure it's only a matter of time and a lot of these gray install buttons will be green again. I hope! =)

When I search with seeqpod it searches for music but then hangs on removing dead links. if i click away to another screen in songbird and then come back to seeqpod the results are there. OS: Vista; songbird v1.0.0 build 860. Most recent version of seeqpod.

otherwise loving seeqpod and songbird!

I have the same problem as ryanb. the strange thing is, some days ago i didnt have this problem.

(Mac OSX 10.5, Intel, Songbird 1.0)

I upgraded from Songbird 0.7 to the new 1.0, and also installed the new SeeqPod add-on. The 1.1 version created a new category in the left sidebar named search, so i moved all my search bookmarks to that category. The 1.2 version of SeeqPod removed that category which hid my bookmarks. When I go to those websites and say "bookmark this page" it tells me the bookmark already exists. So now, a bunch of my bookmarks exits, but are hidden, and Songbird doesn't seem to have a bookmark manager. How do I get those bookmarks back?

Wicked add-on!

However searches through Songbird return only a few results, whereas on seeqpod.com I get several thousand results :(

Any ideas on this one?

A query of Seeqpod e.g zz top legs, results in:
"Searching for Music" then;
"removing dead links"
However, no further feedbackis given untill the Seeqpod Search icon in the Service panel is clicked once more, this then reveals the results of the search successfully.

I think this is a really great plugin, but it keeps hanging on the 1.0 at the "removing dead links" part of the process.

For all with the "removing dead links"-problem:
Just re-install songbird and then never, NEVER hit the cancel button of the seeqpod search.

I clear private data when I end session and it seems to allow me to do a search the next time I search seeqpod.

I'm using Songbird on OSX 10.4 with SeeqPod and it stalls on the "Removing dead links" step for me now as well; I've only used Songbird a few times and the seeqpod add-on worked the first couple of times I used it.

Now I've tried:
* reinstalling Songbird
* doing Tools > Clear Private Data before quitting, then restarting Songbird
* deleting my Songbird profile directory at ~/Library/Application Support/Songbird2

I'm still having the problem, which I don't understand because it should now be like a fresh install; I had to install the Seeqpod add-on again and re-scan my music library. Oh well, hopefully this gets fixed in a new version of the addon.

Well I may have found the answer, because I also tried http://seeqr.appjet.net/ and then http://seeqpod.com/ directly, and seeqpod have this message:

"We're down for scheduled maintenance. Please try again later."

That could be it :)

I'm still encountering the hanging issue at dead links. This happens on both my computers running:

BTW, I'm running:
Ubuntu 8.10
Songbird 1.0.0, Build 860
Seeqpod 1.2.1

If the writer of this extension actually ends up reading this....just want you to know I love this thing. I can't wait until this bug is fixed because it'll be awesome!!!!! It's a pretty nasty bug though. Oh and one other suggestion, I'd love to be able to see the url where it's coming from. If that could be another optional column to display it would be really useful.

I downloaded the 1.1.1b3 beta and was sad that seeqpod didn't work with it... so I downloaded it, uped the minimum requirement and repackaged it... no changes to the code other then the version requirements... just thought I would share it for other beta users.

Original author, can you please update the official add-on? This is one of the most useful add-ons!

Also, the freezing on "removing dead links" still exists. Its not a problem, the extension still works, but its just really annoying that none of the dead links are removed. Please fix this when you get a chance! Thank you!
